TanZebra Day is based on the idea of the scouts to do something good every day. Now we play and train every day, but once a month we help the people of Gongo La Mboto. Marketplace or park cleanup? Washing cars or helping wedding parties with the preparation? Lecturing in schools on health issues or telling kindergartens about the blue and white zebras from Meiderich?
No matter what is going on, the dancing zebras are at the service of society.
Just as our captains lead the teams onto the field by example, we also want to set a good example in community life. Away from egoism, towards solidarity. To prove what we have learned. First aid courses for our players should lead to them being able to help as first aiders during meetings. Thanks to the work on our permaculture, we know how to use rake and lace and can thus contribute to the design of gardens and parks. Or as painters, or, or…
