The TanZebra family mourns the loss of Furaha (‘Happy’ in English). At the age of only 15, she succumbed to a heart condition last night. Our first Queen leaves a big hole in our community.
Happy, you were the first girl to dare to playfully face the boys on the field. You were not only their equal.
You were always in front. You took part in all the activities. Whether in the embassy or at the Nafasi Art Space Center, you gave free rein to your curiosity.
Your restraint and modesty impressed us. Your assertiveness was exemplary. Your smile reflected your name.
We miss you. Rest in peace.
We will always keep you in our hearts!
